Originally completed as a wood-block print on ivory wove paper in 1895, this depiction of the Tahitian Idol was one of three works Paul Gauguin produced after returning from his first trip to Tahiti a few years prior. This photographic print is produced on lithographic paper and set within a grey wooden frame. Complete with a white slip and floating glass.
