Inspiration was drawn in the Kruger National Park, a dense, lush region of the park where trees, plants and bushes surround the great Sabie River. Much of the vegetation draws large varieties of birds and game to drink, bathe and fish. The area is a never ending tapestry of camouflaged beasts where light, sound and movement and colour shift and change. These cushions are an earnest and naive rendering of the plants and fauna, similar to the paintings of French artist Henri Rousseau.
