Acrylic Sticks was born after Dallas-based founder Jordan Payne implemented some stir sticks into a few of the weddings and bridal luncheons she had planned. They were truly a hit, almost like little pieces of art, and it was then that she realised that she could develop her creative passion into a product line.
Creating is an obsession for Jordan; she loves colour, texture, layers and loves that each stir stick unique and one of a kind.
They design custom acrylic sticks for weddings, large companies, sports teams, celebrities and also manufacture designs for companies so that they can have their own line of Acrylic Sticks to sell to their customers in their stores.
Giving back is the backbone of everything Acrylic Sticks do as a company. Beneficiaries for Acrylic Sticks Co. include The Special Olympics and The Down Syndrome Society, something Jordan is extremely passionate about. Her "First Period Kit" currently supports a small village in Malawi where young girls have no resources when dealing with their periods. They tend to miss a lot of school and we wanted to be a difference-maker in some ways in places around the world where resources are scarce. Remote villages such a Northern Malawi do not have trash systems, so everyday pads and throw items are not an option.
As a result, the young girls in Northern Malawi have since purchased sewing machines which brings so much freedom to these girls. They are able to sew their pads out of flannel which helps them to avoid missing school and allows them to become entrepreneurs themselves! They can sell these special pads and begin to have resources of their own.
